Just getting to Semuc Champey is challenging and time-consuming. But the rewards of this remote, picturesque village in the highlands of Guatemala were well worth the effort.
Where else can you swim in the river alongside a cow? (Yes, this really did happen!)
Moooooooooove it and adventure on,

Nice!!! Stunning clarity in that picture.
They say the best places are the ones difficult to access. Don’t knwo who first laid claim to this, but it is true. This place is stunning.
What a great shot! I would love to swim to swim alongside a cow just to say I did it!
Love the vibrant colors in this photo. Great capture.
There’s a lot going on there…hills, water, livestock, shelter and foliage! That’s a great perspective.
I’ve spent a bit of time in Guatemala myself but never saw anything so beautiful.
I’m not so sure about swimming with cows, but this looks like a great place to spend some time just relaxing.
I tubed this river and saw that very same spot! What a wonderful place, Semuc Champey!
