Not much Internet connection here in the mountains of northwest Bulgaria, but here are some snapshots from my journey so far.
This first one is of a lovely woman from the western Balkan mountain town of Pavolche. She was just enjoying the late evening sun when we strolled past her street and stopped to talk for a bit. She told us she lives alone here (husband died and no kids), and that the town used to have a lot more livestock animals than it does today. She also used to climb to the peak of the highest mountain in the village in under 20 mins when she was our age! She asked me where I was from and how I liked Bulgaria. Lovely chat with a lovely little lady!
We don’t see or hear enough about Bulgaria – keep the photos coming!
Thank you, Sonja! I have plenty more photos of Bulgaria to share. Stay tuned!
