I’ll be joining Grupo Tortuguero de las Californias in the celebration of the group’s 15th Anniversary at the Annual Meeting that will be held in Loreto, Baja California Sur in January. When the Annual Meeting wraps up, the celebration continues and we will head out to Magdalena Bay accompanied by Grupo Tortuguero founder Wallace J. Nichols on a trip that combines ecotourism and black sea turtle restoration, community development and genuine cultural exchange. We will also go out in search of gray whales that come to Magdalena Bay each year to breed and calve.
To say I’m xcited to be joining RED Sustainable Travel‘s trip to see gray whales and black sea turtles on a secluded island in Magdalena Bay is an understatement! Stay tuned for more updates and photos (and if you’re interested in joining me on one of these special trips, let me know as I’ll be leading a photography tour to this region in the Fall)!
