HIPP HIPP HURRA FOR DEN SYTTENDE MAI!

Saturday, May 17, 2014 is the 200th Jubilee of the Norwegian Constitution, is a BIG DEAL on both sides of the Atlantic.  Seattle, and more specifically Ballard, will be celebrating in style with events all day long both along Market Street and at the Nordic Heritage Museum.  The festivities culminate in the 6:00 parade that moves from the Ballard Rec. Center (26th NW and NW 62nd) out to 24th Ave. south to Market Street continuing to Bergen Place and then heading south to Dock St. via Ballard Ave.  You are welcome to join the Scandinavian Language Institute and march behind our banner.  Ask a Seafair marshal for our unit number.  We will plan to “after-glow” a bit with potluck snacks and beverages in the Norsk classroom at the Museum following the parade.  Join your voices with the many thousands who will line the parade route in Ballard.
