Tantalize your tongue with tequila tastings in Cabo

Without going to the city of Tequila, northwest of Guadalajara, or to the region of Oaxaca for smoky mescal, you can visit several local tequila bars and liquor stores in Cabo for a tequila tasting.

Besides the lovely sampling of these enticing beverages, you can to learn about the mythology, history, customs and fabrication of tequila and mezcal.

Check out these local spots for tequila tasting in Cabo: Panchos Restaurant and Tequila Bar, J & J La Casa de Habano Cabo, specializing in artisan tequilas produced in small distilleries, and Tequilla Town, with the largest tequila selection in Cabo. Any of the experienced tequila experts at these spots will share how mezcal differs from tequila, what makes a good tequila, the worm, and other myths, the difference between Plato, Reposado and Añejo tequila (its all in the aging and the barrel they use) and other tequila and mezcal customs.
