Record-breaking mile and a half walk (without cane) on this fine crisp Fall day! This is the first real Fall I’ve had in many years, as I’m usually not in the Midwest at this time of year. Even though strange circumstances led me here, I’m super grateful to be near friends and family and the beautiful falling leaves... Many thanks to my fabulous friends, or “dog walkers” as my Mom calls them 😀, who have taken the time to walk me slowly back to health at a snail’s pace. Pouring rain in Tortuguera, Costa Rica...beautiful place!

One year ago I moved from Seattle to La Paz. It’s been a really great year! I knew my anniversary was coming up, but I only found out when I checked FB Memories today. I spent the day interviewing someone for a project I’m working on with BCS Tourism and then the rest of the afternoon floating in my beloved Gulf of California and resting under a palapa.
