It’s World Wildlife Day!

Did you know that today is World Wildlife Day?

Having been fortunate enough to see wildlife on my travels – from the great wildebeest migration in the Masai Mara in Kenya/Tanzania to witnessing brown bears nestled in the forests of Romania – I was happy to contribute a piece to this article about swimming with whalesharks (the largest fish in the sea!) in Baja California Sur, Mexico.

This article will no doubt inspire your future dreams to experience wildlife in the wild, and the best ways to do so sustainably.

What has been your most memorable wild life experience? It could even be in your own backyard! When I lived in Seattle, we even had cougars and bears roaming the streets and parks at night!

Where would you like witness to the incredible diversity of wildlife in our world?

  1. Big cats! I would love to experience lions, cheetahs, cougars (never saw any in Seattle!), leopards, etc. in the wild. I’d like to do it from a great enough distance that they don’t know I’m watching—with a camera, of course.
